New Renaissance Singers is a well-established, non-audition, multigenerational chorus serving Central and Eastern Maine. We welcome all who share a love of singing, and believe that in uniting our voices in song we can nurture a love of music in our community and beyond.
Our repertoire is incredibly varied and includes a mixture of sacred/secular choral works from composers such as Handel and Mozart to more contemporary works by composers like John Rutter and Moses Hogan and everything in between. Contact us if you would like to join or if you would like more info!
New Renaissance Singers is a community choir and we are not affiliated with any religious organization. We are directed by Molly Webster, and our amazing accompanist is Dora Rexrode. The group is governed by a volunteer board of directors.
Our concert and rehearsal season runs from fall until spring, with two separate concerts, one in December and one in May. We also perform several concerts at area senior homes and other community events. Anyone with a love of music and singing and a willingness to learn is welcome to join our choir.
